Meet the Recruiter: Sarah Hutchinson

 What made you want to join HRC Recruitment? To move back into Financial Services recruitment. I took the leap into Oil & Gas last September last year, but was approached by the team here to come back to Financial Services. Not going to lie, it took some persuading but here I am and loving it again! What career path did you follow before getting into recruitment? Recruitment is my first career path. I did a master’s degree in Business Psychology and wanted to go into a field called ‘Human Factors’ but as it is a small field, there were limited jobs. So, I ‘fell’ into recruitment. What was your dream job as a child?  Primary teacher, did an HNC in Early Education and Childcare but ended up not enjoying it (technically, I am a qualified nursery nurse). What’s been your biggest success so far? Graduating my master’s degree. Having failed Higher English at school to getting a master’s degree … I was very proud of myself! When we’re not in the middle of a pandemic, what do you like to do in your free time? Go on holiday, workout and go out for meals – I am a total foodie! What is most important to you? Family, friends, and my dog Alfie. Describe yourself in three words. Funny, outgoing, and loyal. Now ask the last person you messaged to describe you in three words. A bad influence. Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I lived in the Philippines for 4 years.   Favourite film? The Other Woman Favourite singer / artist? Chris Brown Favourite book? The Secret Favourite colour? Green Sun or snow? Sun Apple or android? Apple TikTok or Instagram? Instagram but I lose hours of my life watching TikToks. Tea or coffee? Tea for comfort but just recently got a Nespresso machine and I am ADDICTED to making iced lattes now.
