What made you want to join HRC Recruitment?
I wanted a career where I could get out what I put in and progress quickly and spotted this kind of opportunity in the HRC graduate programme. I also found the client list appealing as the company is so well-established and recognised, which allowed me to get exposure to a wide range of businesses from SMEs to global manufacturers.
What career path did you follow before getting into recruitment?
I studied business at university and had jobs in retail and service during this time. I then began working in sales environments and, although I enjoyed this and learned a lot, I wanted an opportunity where I could keep the sales element but have more control and direct communication with my clients. I found recruitment allowed me to utilise these skills, as well as having a more holistic experience with businesses and get to know the people in these organisations more.
What was your dream job as a child?
A spy … Maybe that’s why I can always find candidates on LinkedIn!
What’s been your biggest success so far?
I worked in America for a summer a few years ago in a care role for children and adults with disabilities. I was awarded their ‘Golden Heart’ award for the summer for my effort and care of my clients. I’m extremely proud of this as it was such an amazing organisation to be a part of and I’m so happy I could bring some value to their summers.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m a foodie so I love finding and trying new places to eat. I also love taking my wee dog Lola out for walks.
What is most important to you?
Family is the most important thing to me so when it comes to my work, I always prioritise work/life balance.
