What made you want to join HRC Recruitment?
After graduating, getting the right exposure was my goal. Whilst applying for jobs, it was important for me to join a business that could provide me with that exposure in terms of training and development that would allow me to improve my skills on both a professional and a personal level.
HRC Recruitment stood out to me as it was a name that I recognised. Coming into the assessment centre, I was able to gain quite an understanding of the business and the client base they worked with. During my assessment centre, I was able to get a good feel for the ethos, their culture and, most importantly, their dedicated career plan set to help further develop my skills.
What career path did you follow before getting into recruitment?
Before joining HRC, I worked in the hospitality sector as a waitress/bartender. I’ve always loved interacting with people, which is why working within that industry has always been enjoyable. It provided me with the flexibility of working whilst being in uni and pursuing my degree. Secondly, the best bit was interacting with people and networking. I always loved how fast-paced it can be, it certainly kept me busy!
What was your dream job as a child?
A dancer or a dentist.
What’s been your biggest success so far?
My biggest success so far has been taking on the challenge to study abroad. Growing up in a different culture, I’ve always been open to the idea of travelling and studying overseas as I’ve always adapted myself in various cultures and environments. So this was a no-brainer for me. It gave me the right exposure to study and learn differently, gain independence and learn self-reliance. Most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to see the world at the same time.
