Meet the Recruiter - Alistair Dickson

What made you want to join HRC Recruitment?  

I had worked with a number of former colleagues who went on to work for HRC and had always heard brilliant things about the business.

What career path did you follow before getting into recruitment?

I was working in pubs after finishing up at university and sort of felt into recruitment initially which sounds like it was the case for a lot of people.

What was your dream job as a child?

It was a dead heat between footballer or some sort of Indiana Jones type archaeologist

What’s been your biggest success so far?

In work there have been various instances of finding jobs they genuinely considered their dream role, nothing beats that. On a personal note it would be completing my first marathon in 2021

What do you like to do in your free time?

I’m a dad so a lot of my time is spent in soft plays, parks and out riding bikes. When I get the chance I love to play football and run – this year I’ve run both the Manchester and Edinburgh marathons for MND Scotland.

What is most important to you?

It has to be family. Sometimes football feels like a close second if I’m honest.
