We are working with a leading independent insurance broker, providing expert advice and solutions across a wide range of industries. Their Corporate Division is integral to their business, and they’re looking for a dedicated Client Handler to join their dynamic team.
As a Client Handler within the Corporate Division, you will play a key role in supporting the Team Leader and Branch Manager. You will assist in driving the division’s objectives, ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary Account Adviser on nominated accounts, providing tailored advice and solutions to meet client needs.
- Assist in the development of new business through both existing contacts and new introductions.
- Ensure client enquiries are handled efficiently and in line with team expertise.
- Maintain accurate client registers and update as needed.
- Check and verify policy documents for accuracy and appropriate coverage.
- Assist the Claims department with relevant claims when necessary
- Gather information and secure compliant insurance terms in line with the Insurance Act.
- Provide clients with comprehensive, fair, and unbiased market analyses, ensuring all potentially suitable products are considered.
- Uphold your FCA responsibilities and adhere to company procedures and regulatory requirements
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience handling mid-market clients across multiple insurance classes.
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality client service and advice.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships.
- Ability to produce reports and risk registers under tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment with a strong compliance mindset.
- A commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and pursuing relevant professional qualifications.
- High standard of integrity with the ability to work in a compliance-driven environment.
- Ability to manage workload, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent team collaboration and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Experience in producing accurate documentation and reports to meet client needs and business objectives.
