Banking and Finance Lawyer – Band 1 Firm – Prestigious, Strong Team & Structure – 3+ Years PQE


HRC Recruitment is excited to partner with one of the most prestigious Band 1 law firms in Scotland to recruit an experienced Banking and Finance Lawyer with 3+ years PQE. Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise a diverse range of clients, including financial institutions, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals, on complex banking and finance matters.
  • Handle transactional work, including debt finance, securitisations, and structured finance, with a focus on commercial lending and regulatory matters.
  • Support senior fee earners on large-scale projects, mergers and acquisitions, and refinancing deals.
  • Manage and lead client relationships, ensuring the highest standards of legal service are delivered.
  • Draft and negotiate key legal documentation, including loan agreements, facility agreements, and security documents.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals to provide timely updates and strategic advice.
  • Stay updated with legal developments in banking and finance law, ensuring best practices are followed.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years PQE in banking and finance law, ideally gained in a reputable law firm or in-house.
  • Proven experience advising on a broad range of banking and finance transactions, including lending, regulatory issues, and corporate finance.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, with the confidence to take initiative and drive matters forward.
  • A client-focused approach with the ability to foster long-term relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • A strong academic background and a genuine passion for banking and finance law.
