Are you a solicitor specialising in construction? Are you looking for a role within one of the bigger firms that will allow you to hone your skills, develop your career and provide you with an interesting and varied case-load? If so, this role could be ideal for you. Our client, a top ten firm with an excellent reputation, is recruiting for a lawyer to join one of their specialist construction teams at the associate level. The role will specialise in providing advice across the UK construction and engineering sector, with a focus on infrastructure, energy, and civil engineering: power/utilities, rail, renewables, commercial and residential development, leisure, education, health, defence, flood prevention schemes, PFI/PPP, and professional negligence. The team represents major UK contractor, subcontractor, and employer clients in complex and high-quality dispute work based across the entire UK and handles mediation, adjudication, court and arbitration work across the UK, for example, in the TCC in London and Court of Session in Edinburgh. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to deliver high quality legal advice to a broad range of clients, provide commercial solutions and represent clients in formal proceedings, whilst enjoying a friendly, flexible and supportive working environment. The firm is well known for having their employees’ well-being at the heart of their core company values.  Applicants must have construction experience, ideally on the contentious side, or have commercial litigation experience and can demonstrate a genuine interest in this sector. Salary is in the upper quartile of top market rate, is dependant on experience and there is a comprehensive benefits package which will include bonus.
