Credit Control Administrator - Edinburgh

Join a dynamic Finance team in one of the countries leading legal firms, based in Edinburgh! We are currently seeking a Credit Control Administrator to play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of the credit control function. This is a full-time permanent position based in their Edinburgh office.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Full-time office-based initially, with a long-term commitment to a hybrid working approach through our Smarter Working policy
  • Assist the Credit Control Manager and Client Cash team in preparing accounting entries related to fee payments and cash allocation
  • Support the Credit Control Manager in preparing faxes, reminder letters, and memos to Partners, facilitating the uplift of funds from the Client Ledger for fee settlements
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the client ledger within the accounting system
  • Retrieve information from electronic files in our document management system and copy information as needed
  • Conduct file reviews from electronic records for drafting reminder letters
  • Undertake other finance-related tasks directed by the Partnership Accountant, Deputy Partnership Accountant, and Credit Control Manager
  • Perform general office duties, including regular filing

What you will bring to the team:

  • Previous Credit Control experience is advantageous, and administrative experience is required
  • Flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are essential
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • High accuracy and attention to detail are crucial
  • Strong PC skills are essential; full training will be provided on various systems used
  • Discretion and confidentiality are paramount due to exposure to highly sensitive information
