Electrical Production Supervisor – Glasgow – Salary negotiable on experience

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our expanding growth. Are you who we’re looking for?

 

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as an electrical supervisor or in an electrical shop floor environment
  • Time-served electrical fitter or similar within an electrical shop floor environment
  • Proficient in reading drawings and organizing a team for production purposes
  • Experience with Panel wiring and Electrical/Mechanical fit-outs of Switchgear
  • IT literate, ideally in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Forward-thinking individual who can plan and organize production processes
  • Experience dealing with Switchgear/switchboards is desirable
  • Self-starter with a good attitude and strong people skills

 

What does the day to day look like?

 

  • Supervising day-to-day activities on the shop floor
  • Planning and allocating work to all electrical employees as per the production plan
  • Liaising with stores and procurement to manage the flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process for all projects
  • Ensuring that all timescales are met and escalating issues to relevant management if needed
  • Working with Engineering and Production teams to ensure all projects are moving within production timescales
  • Providing weekly updates during production meetings on all relevant projects
  • Being flexible and proactive to meet production deadlines as required
  • Ensuring adherence to working practices and safety procedures
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring all employees adhere to Safety Policies
  • Ensuring all quality procedures are followed and timely completion of all Quality documentation checklists by relevant production personnel
  • Aiding in the ongoing development and implementation of updated processes to ensure maximum efficiency of production staff
