High Net Worth Broker – Edinburgh – Competitive salary DOE

Purpose: To provide exceptional service and professional advice to new and existing High Net Worth clients on all aspects of their insurance needs. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, both with clients and insurers, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Leadership and supervisory skills are desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service complex insurance policies, including multi-property and multi-vehicle risks
  • Offer tailored insurance solutions to meet clients' specific requirements
  • Conduct client meetings, including renewal reviews and insurer appraisals, as required
  • Collaborate with other branches and attend meetings at different locations when needed
  • Prepare and issue new policies, mid-term adjustments, and renewals, ensuring all documentation is delivered within required timeframes
  • Promptly respond to client inquiries
  • Maintain up-to-date technical and product knowledge
  • Utilize company systems and procedures efficiently
  • Assist in handling claims when necessary
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers
  • Accurately represent client requests and negotiate favorable terms with insurers
  • Attend insurer meetings, training sessions, and hospitality events as required
  • Accurately maintain records for existing clients, new business, and quotations
  • Write letters and correspondence in the appropriate house style
  • Handle invoicing, diary management, and account reconciliation (bordereaux)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including CPD hours, auditing, and corporate governance
  • Adhere to Data Security policies and ensure compliance with GDPR and other company policies

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong experience in personal lines insurance
  • Experience with insurance broking systems (e.g., Acturis)
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities
  • Awareness of excellent customer service standards
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong numeracy and communication skills
  • Understanding and adherence to company guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to meet the technical demands of the role, including complex client handling
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, including CII or equivalent qualifications

Desirable Skills:

  • Supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Attendance and completion of relevant technical and professional courses
