Job Description: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the production facilities, ensuring seamless operations. This role demands a combination of mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, alongside strong problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on all production machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize operational downtime.
  • Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members as required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
  • Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role, preferably within the food or dairy industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
