Job Description: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the production facilities, ensuring seamless operations. This role demands a combination of mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, alongside strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on all production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize operational downtime.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to team members as required.
Qualifications:
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role, preferably within the food or dairy industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
