Maintenance Technician - Kinross - Nightshift

We're looking for a Textile Technician to take ownership of the carding process on the nightshift. You'll oversee the Carding Machines, perform basic quality checks, repair basic faults and carry out first line maintenance. The Carding Machine takes the initial fibre and prepares it for the next stage of the process by cleaning and disentangling the thread.

What your shift could look like:

  • Taking ownership of the maintenance, smooth running and cleanliness of the Carding Machines 
  • Receiving the handover from the dayshift and actioning any faults
  • Carrying out basic repairs of manual machinery
  • Performing quality inspections on machinery and the shop
  • Escalating any serious issues for the engineer to mend on the next shift

Are you who we're looking for?

  • You have a demonstrated ability to repair manual, mechanical machinery  
  • You have multiple years experience in a production or workshop environment
  • You have experience of either sole working or supervisory level tasking
  • You are comfortable working autonomously in a busy factory environment
  • You have a quality-first and technical mindset
  • You are hard working, curious and responsible
