Our client, a small yet established producer within the medical device sector are currently going through a steady period of growth. They are now looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their successful business.
Reporting to, and working closely with the General Manager, this hands-on will be responsible for managing the manufacturing processes for electronic medical devices ensuring the devices are manufactured and tested to the required standards.
The position
Working closely with the General Manager to understand daily and weekly production requirements, including resources, skills, and materials.
Work with the Quality Department to set and maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in production processes. Ensure products are manufactured cost-effectively, complying with standards, and Technical File specifications.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and maximize profits by monitoring standard yield, labour efficiency, and other cost factors.
Record, communicate, and take action on key performance indicators (KPIs), including yield, wastage, customer service, plan completion, quality reports, and absence.
Ensure excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and readiness for audits in production areas.
Motivate and manage the manufacturing team by providing leadership, fostering team spirit, maintaining discipline, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
Collaborate with the New Product Development and Technical teams to conduct production trials and successfully launch new products.
The person
An experienced team leader/ manager within manufacturing, you will enjoy seeing others do well.
You should also have:- Good understanding of quality management process, Strong work ethic, Problem solving skills, Proficiency with standard computer applications and IT literate.
