As part of this renowned team, you will handle complex and varied property litigation matters for an impressive client base, including commercial landlords, tenants, developers, and private clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of property litigation matters, including disputes related to leases, possession claims, land rights, development projects, and real estate transactions.
- Advise clients on a wide range of property-related issues, from commercial lease disputes to residential property matters and title issues.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation, focusing on achieving favourable outcomes through strategic advice and cost-effective dispute resolution methods.
- Assist in managing large-scale and high-profile property disputes, including those involving multi-party interests and complex legal issues.
- Work closely with senior fee earners, providing support on major cases and developing your own client base.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, settlement agreements, and court submissions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, external stakeholders, and colleagues, offering outstanding service and proactive legal advice.
- Stay up to date with developments in property law, offering clients cutting-edge legal advice in line with market trends.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years PQE in property litigation, with experience handling a broad range of disputes in both commercial and residential property OR high value commercial litigation with a desire to grow in property.
- Strong experience in advising on issues such as leasehold disputes, title disputes, boundary issues, and commercial landlord/tenant matters.
- Excellent knowledge of property law, including relevant statutes and case law.
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload, balancing complex legal matters with client needs.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to present clear, compelling legal arguments.
- Experience representing clients in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- A proactive, client-focused approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- A strong academic background and a passion for property law.
