Retirement Service Manager

Location: Glasgow
Salary: £33,500 - £37,500 DOE

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Retirement Manager to oversee a housing development for older people that includes a care at home service and meal service. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that focuses on individual outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team, fostering a supportive and empowering environment.
  • Ensure high-quality care at home services in line with National Care Standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee the meal service, ensuring high-quality meals and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Support tenants in sustaining their tenancies, including assistance with benefit applications and reporting repairs.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Promote a culture of empathy and transparency, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure staff receive proper training, supervision, and opportunities for professional development.
  • Handle housing management tasks, including property management and void management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of care management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage budgets and ensure financial control.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and a positive safety culture.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience to be registered with the Care Inspectorate and SSSC.

  • Flexible rota pattern, primarily Monday to Friday with weekend management cover as needed.
