Warehouse & Distillery Operator – Perthshire - £ Competitive

If so, we’re looking for a reliable and hardworking operative to play a dual role in the cask warehouse and distillery. This would suit someone adaptable and detail oriented.

 

What the day to day could look like:


Health and Safety

  • Adhering at all times to Health and Safety standards and taking responsibility for personal activities.
  • Working under your own initiative, contributing to problem-solving efforts.
  • Showing a willingness to learn and take on greater responsibilities based on performance and attitude.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Performing cask filling, disgorging, and despatching in line with production needs.
  • Handling bulk tanker loading and unloading.
  • Using production recording and stock systems (e.g., DRAMS).
  • Completing administrative tasks related to despatch and export tanker documentation.

Distillery Operations:

  • Serving as a relief operator, covering holidays, absences, and training periods.
  • Alternating between the Mash Operation and the Still Room, ensuring safety, plant efficiency, and product quality.
  • Monitoring and operating the production process according to established procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, as well as Customs and Excise regulations.

 

Are you who we’re looking for?

 

  • You will have previous experience in the whisky or spirits industry or a similar fast paced environment
  • You possess a full clean UK driving license
  • You ideally have a Forklift license, but training will be provided if not
  • You are proficient in Excel, Word, and production data recording

 

Warehouse Hours: Monday to Thursday (8:00am to 4:30pm), Friday (8:00am to 3:00pm)

Distillery Hours: 12-hour shifts (Dayshift and Nightshift, 4 days on/4 days off)
