Experience needed for the Business Management Associate role:
The Business Management and Strategy team has 8 FTE in New York, London, Glasgow and Baltimore. This team is primarily responsible for financial management and planning for a 2100 person organization. They work extensively with Line Managers, Central Finance, HR, IT and Project teams to provide senior management with financial and planning support that facilitates business decisions and strategic planning.
The Business Management Associate role, therefore, requires a dynamic professional with strong financial analysis experience well as business, commercial and accounting acumen to support business management activities with a specific emphasis on financial controls, reporting and analysis for Global SSBO.
Are you this person?
Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in finance or accountancy (CIMA, ACCA)
Experience working in a finance or business management team within a large business
Expense management experience including budgeting and financial reporting
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ability to work with large datasets and transform them into useful business intelligence
Sound communication skills and ability to tailor communication style for senior management.
Highly discrete, discerning and mature, with strong team working, relationship management and leadership capability
Possess strong networking, written and verbal communication skills; capable of building cross-team relationships
Must be a self-starter, able to manage own time and deliverables and comfortable driving execution
Must be able to challenge, develop and improve processes
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt existing skills in a new environment quickly
Ability to understand complex problems quickly and move projects forward
