We’re looking to chat with Category Managers to discuss an exciting role for a growing FMCG company based in Glasgow. The main responsibilities will be to develop and lead the procurement strategy for all Capex related spend. You will want to play a key part in developing the supply base to ensure continuous improvement in the service, quality and strategy.
What does your day look like?
Manage and lead the procurement team for all Capex spend, and drive all category strategies in line with company vision and objectives.
Delivering on key objectives, margin targets, revenue and forecasting
Support and develop strong relationships with brand partners
Implement a strong supply base to optimise value whilst delivering outstanding service
Ensure procurement processes and procedures are embedded, to maximise effectiveness and efficiency
Communicating closely with the Engineering teams across various functions within the Supply Chain
Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Seek and develop new opportunities to increase profitability
Ensuring all risk management strategies are in place and working to minimise risk across the supply chain whilst ensuring continuity of service and supply.
What we are looking for:
Degree qualified with at least 1 years’ experience
Corporate Diploma in Purchasing and/or membership of The Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply
Comprehensive professional understanding of procurement procedures and processes
Ability to show flexibility in a busy environment
A demonstrable record of successfully defining and implementing procurement strategies
Knowledge of contracting within the standard Capex and construction contracts (eg MF1, SBCC)
Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships working across geographic boundaries
