Purpose of Operations Oversight Manager Position – Are you this person?

To support the Head of Operation Oversight in ensuring that Service Delivery provided from outsource locations meet the FCA regulations and standards required for UK client base in terms of Data Management and also in providing a Fund Performance and analytical service.

The holder of this role is responsible for supporting the Head of UK Operations Oversight day to day management and control of these oversight elements of the UK Operations business and for implementation of the Operations strategy in the UK

The holder of this role will also represent the UK client base on a global forum in relations to Change and Projects ensuring an in-depth knowledge of systems, products and processes whilst maintaining internal and external client relationships.

 

Competencies required for the role:

Essential:

Primary responsibility to oversee the Data & Derivative services provided by Chennai, Paris  & Warsaw on behalf of UK Clients, including Governance meetings, Ops to Ops calls, working with Clients directly as escalation when needed
Oversight of Data Management, Derivatives and Client Service model provision for UK Clients
Managing a team including regular 1-2-1s and team meetings
Coach, develop and train staff to maximise performance
Succession planning
Conduct interim and annual appraisals
Absence and poor performance management
Manage high performance and provide career support to team members
Ensure adherence to HR policies and guidelines by the team
Adhere to UK management charter
Responsibility for staff recruitment
